AvtoVAZ to stop producing Lada Priora cars in late July

MOSCOW, Jul 16 (PRIME) -- Russia’s largest carmaker AvtoVAZ plans to wrap up production of Lada Priora cars in late July, the company said in a statement Monday.

“Lada Priora will leave the assembly line in Togliatti at the end of July. This decision was approved by the company’s management and is caused by constantly growing interest to Lada’s latest models, and, as a consequence, falling demand for the Priora model,” AvtoVAZ said.

Production of Lada Priora cars was launched in Togliatti in 2007, with over 850,000 cars made since then.
